Welcome to Blenheim Scout Group |
|
|
The Group currently
delivers Scouting activities to 159 young people on a weekly
basis. We also deliver the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme
and skills training programmes. Our work on the
neighbourhood estates has allowed us to develop a working
partnership with local schools and the Community Safety
project to deliver physical activities including climbing,
abseiling, canoeing, caving and team building skills, as
well as adventure weekends and camping activities. Many of
the young people who benefit from our work have never tried
these activities before and would certainly not have the
opportunity of these experiences otherwise. Due to
increasing demand it is necessary to expand our facilities
and services in the local community. We are currently
working in partnership with the Local School Governing body
and Bristol City Council as well as Community Safety and
key members of other local organisations to build a new
multi use community facility in the Bedminster Down area of
South Bristol. |
